Every 2 years, the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry hosts a powerful, 3-day experience of Prayer, Community, Catechesis and Empowerment for Catholic teenagers from around the country. This conference called National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) draws over 17,000 teenagers, 4,000 adult chaperones, and over 2,000 speakers, performers and exhibitors. It includes workshops for parents of teenagers, and those involved specifically in youth ministry, priests and clergy can attend classes about ministering to young people.
Participants also have the opportunity to be involved in service projects, such as packaging non-perishable meals that are sent around the globe to families in the greatest need.
The 2019 conference was held in Indianapolis, Indiana with the next event scheduled for November 2021 in Indianapolis!.
